Colonoscopy
Examination of the large intestine and the terminal part of the small intestine using a thin, flexible camera.
Colonoscopy is used for colon cancer screening, polyp detection and removal, diagnosis of inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn's, ulcerative colitis), and investigation of bowel disorders and gastrointestinal bleeding.
Bowel preparation is required before the examination. It is usually performed under sedation and takes 20-40 minutes.
