Coronary Angiography

Catheter-based imaging of narrowing or blockage in coronary arteries.

Coronary angiography is the gold standard for patients with chest pain, suspected heart attack, or abnormal exercise ECG. Contrast material is administered through a catheter inserted from the wrist or groin.

The procedure usually takes 30-60 minutes; balloon and stent placement can be performed in the same session if needed.
