Electromyography (EMG)
Electrophysiological test used to diagnose muscle and nerve diseases.
EMG is used in the diagnosis and follow-up of carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve compression due to disc herniation, peripheral neuropathy, myopathies and motor neuron diseases.
The procedure takes 20-40 minutes; mild discomfort may be felt but the examination is safe.
