Continuous recording of heartbeats over 24-48 hours to detect cardiac rhythm disorders.
Rhythm Holter is used to investigate palpitations, dizziness, and syncope; and to diagnose atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias. It can detect rhythm disturbances that are missed on a standard ECG.
Daily activities can continue during monitoring; a brief activity log is kept.
